Introducing our Festive coffee: Guatemala – Buena Vista
As the air turns crisp and the days become shorter, the festive season is upon us and so is our new Festive Coffee: Guatemala – Buena Vista! This limited-edition roast brings the taste of the holidays to your cup, with notes of Irish Cream, Toffee Apple and Brown Spice that capture the cosy, indulgent feeling of the season.
A cup with a story
Behind every great coffee is a story worth sharing. Our Festive coffee comes from Narcisa Salucio Lopez, a second-generation coffee farmer from Aldea Com, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Narcisa inherited her land from her parents and alongside her husband, transformed it into a thriving coffee farm to support their family.
She is part of Jovemcafe, a local producer organisation that empowers female farmers through training, savings initiatives and community development projects. With the support of Primavera and The Chain Collaborative (TCC), Jovemcafe has launched projects such as a henhouse for egg-laying hens to generate extra income and a nursery for fruit and forest trees that also provides organic fertiliser.
Narcisa’s dedication to quality and community is reflected in every bean she produces: “Producing high-quality coffee is relatively new for us, but because of the high costs of production, it’s the best option for us today. We hope to keep up the great quality every year."
