Eclipse_004 - Nelson Hurtado - Natural

Recommended filter recipe: V60: 12 grams with 200ml water. 60 gram bloom for 30 seconds, pour up to 130ml, once drawn down pour to final 200ml and swirl bed.

Farm Details: Nelson Hurtado has picked coffee for as long as he can remember, he used to travel around Antioquia aiming to work with the most productive farms in order to be able to pick more cherries, as pickers are often paid for every kilogram they pick.

Nelson arrived to Gaitania 15 years ago to work as a picker. 5 years ago he was able to purchase his own farm with his savings.

These days Nelson grows his coffee surrounded by many other fruit trees. He is enchanted with the animals living in the region, especially the many birds, he enjoys looking after the birds that visit his farm daily and by looking after his trees and growing more, he believes he will encourage more birds to visit his farm.

This coffee was picked and then fermented for 40 hours inside bags. Afterwards cherries were hand sorted, floated and placed on raised beds until the ideal moisture content was achieved.
