From Sidama to Your Cup: Coffee with a Purpose Grown at 2,000-2,100 meters above sea level in the lush highlands of Ethiopia, this coffee is sourced from the Bochesa Washing Station in Arbegona, East Sidama. Established in 2022, this innovative station continues to invest in sustainable practices and quality-driven infrastructure, including water-saving processing, solar tunnels, and artificial dryers.
Each year, Bochesa processes 500–600 tons of ripe coffee cherries from over 820 local farmers, who cultivate landrace varieties like 7454, 74110, 7440, and 74112. The station emphasizes fairness and community support, providing coffee seedlings, financial aid, and premium payments to growers.
Coffee from Bochesa is fully washed to highlight its clean, vibrant flavours. After meticulous processing and drying, it rests for 20 days before export, ensuring a cup that is as intentional as it is delicious.
At our roastery, this coffee has revealed tasting notes of Grape Juice, Mango Black Tea and Blackberry. We’ve found it shines brightest when brewed as a filter-style coffee.
This is more than just coffee. It’s a connection from farm to roast, from community to cup.
