Sweet, warming and full of depth — a beautifully balanced coffee from the foothills of Mount Kerinci.
This lot comes from the ALKO cooperative in Sumatra’s Kerinci Valley, where smallholder producers grow coffee on volcanic soils at altitudes of 1,300–1,600 metres. The result is a coffee that’s structured, expressive and naturally sweet.
Processed using the honey method, the coffee is pulped and dried with a layer of sticky mucilage still clinging to the bean. This allows some of the natural fruit sugars to carry through to the cup — giving the final brew a soft, syrupy body and honeyed sweetness, without overpowering the clean fruit profile.
In the cup, you’ll find smooth notes of nutmeg, brown sugar and blood orange — with a velvety texture and gentle complexity throughout.
